The CEO of the company, Mr K de Vries saw that providing emergency medical care and assisting in the care of the sick and injured is based on much more than just that.

The public needs to be educated to prevent injury and illness and to act immediately when disaster strikes: hence DVAA.

"The best academy ever, ask me I’ll tell you what? They know their story"
de Vries Ambulance Academy
The HPCSA together with the Dept of Health wants to stop the short courses in the EMS by 2016. This means there will only be a 1 year course to start off with. All the current BAA's will have to align to the new ECA course(Emergency Care Assistant) that will be a 1 year course. This would have a HUGE implication on every one and the industry.
Your BAA will still be valid and you will still be able to work. Even if the courses stop. There is no need for anyone to panic about their BAA qualification. It will still be legal until the end of days!!! For new students after 2016 this will cost you a lot of money and time... What is your opinion about it? Mrs A Visser Principal of DVAA.
