The CEO of the company, Mr K de Vries saw that providing
emergency medical care and assisting in the care of the sick
and injured is based on much more than just that.
The public needs to be educated to prevent injury and illness
and to act immediately when disaster strikes: hence DVAA.

"The best academy ever, ask me I’ll tell you
what? They know their story"
de Vries Ambulance Academy
The HPCSA together with the Dept of Health wants to stop the
short courses in the EMS by 2016. This means there will only be
a 1 year course to start off with. All the current BAA's will have
to align to the new ECA course(Emergency Care Assistant) that
will be a 1 year course. This would have a HUGE implication on
every one and the industry.
Hi there. I greet all of you there at
de Vries.I just want to share this
Since I've been there at de Vries
last year September 2014, I got a
job at Private Care Ambulance
services. I've now got 1390 Hours.
I have also done my BLS for HCP
course, next month I'm writing my
AEA entrance exam at Netcare 911
Your BAA will still be valid and you will still be able to work.
Even if the courses stop. There is no need for anyone to
panic about their BAA qualification. It will still be legal until
the end of days!!! For new students after 2016 this will
cost you a lot of money and time... What is your opinion
about it? Mrs A Visser Principal of DVAA.
If all goes well, then the training starts on the 22 of August
2015. I will definitely come and say Hi, when I'm there.
It's a pity that de Vries doesn't do the AEA course,
otherwise I surely would have chosen de Vries Ambulance
I tell everybody about de Vries, you did a great job. I will
never forget my time there. It was the best!
Thank you again. May God richly bless all of you! Send my
greetings to Mr. de Vries, Paul, Joiros and all the others. Till
later. Louis Labuschagne.
